《Self-Select in Taipei》為西尾美也於2007年自巴黎啟動的《Self-Select》系列最新篇章。此系列為參與型藝術計畫，此系列透過藝術家與街上行人交換衣物的行為，跨越文化與語言藩籬，創造即興式的溝通與對話，是一項持續於世界各地展開的參與式藝術實踐。
本計畫於2025年8月在國立臺灣藝術大學的協助下實現。本展為與國立臺北藝術大學共同舉辦之「從臺灣〈文化平權〉概念思考藝術」國際交流專案的延伸，以衣服為互動媒介，探討「文化平權」——人人皆有參與創造文化的權利——的具體實踐與視覺化呈現。當人與人、文化與文化交會之際，個體生命經驗與感知相互交織出嶄新的共生樣態。
“Self-Select in Taipei” is the latest chapter of Nishio Yoshinari’s ongoing Self-Select project, initiated in Paris in 2007. Through the exchange of clothing between the artist and passersby, the participatory work creates spontaneous encounters that transcend cultural and linguistic boundaries.
Realized in August 2025 with the support of the National Taiwan University of Arts, the project extends the international exchange program Rethinking Art through Cultural Equity from Taiwan, using clothing as a medium to visualize cultural equity and shared human experience.
